Group C and L Battles Set: Lango Zone Schools Face Tough Opponents in 2025 USSSA Girls’ Tournament

The countdown to the 2025 USSSA National meet for girls' category has officially begun, with St. Mary Magdalene Girls' Secondary School and Acaba Secondary School discovering their group opponents ahead of the much-anticipated tournament in Bukedea District. Both schools, proud representatives of the Lango Zone, are preparing to showcase their skills and improve upon their previous performances.
In the upcoming edition, St. Mary Magdalene Girls' SS has been drawn into Group C, where they will face off against formidable schools; Lugazi Homestone SS, Bubangizi SS, and Bunya SS. Each team brings unique strengths and ambitions to the field.
Meanwhile, Acaba SS finds themselves in Group L, pitted against Boni Consilii Girls' Vocational SS, Tororo Girls' Secondary School, and Newton Secondary School. This diverse group presents a fresh set of challenges and opportunities for Acaba SS to demonstrate their growth and determination.
Reflecting on their journey, both schools participated in the 2024 USSSA National meet, where St. Mary Magdalene Girls' SS secured 22nd place nationally, while Acaba SS finished 28th. These experiences have fueled their drive to climb higher in the rankings and make a significant impact in the 2025 tournament.
The 2025 USSSA ball game 1 will officially kick off on Monday, 5th May 2025, with Bukedea District playing host to the event.
