One Candidate Disqualified from Police Recruitment in Kole Over Drunkenness

One candidate has been disqualified from the ongoing police recruitment exercise in Kole District due to drunkenness.

SP Jimmy Patrick Okema, the North Kyoga Police Spokesperson, while giving a report, noted that the police recruitment in Kole District will take place over two days from Tuesday 29th April 2025, and Wednesday 30th April 2025.

Okema stated that out of the 195 shortlisted candidates, 189 reported for the exercise. He added that six candidates shared the same name, but were distinguished using their National Identification Numbers (NIN) on their IDs.

He further mentioned that two candidates did not carry their documents for the interview, while one candidate, identified as Oduka Oscar, was visibly drunk and was therefore disqualified from the recruitment process.

Before the recruitment began, the Head of Recruitment ACP Sserunjogi Eddie, along with his deputy SSP Doka Rashid, who is also the RPC of North Kyoga, briefed the candidates.

The team leader introduced all recruitment team members, thanked the candidates for choosing to join the police force, and congratulated them for being shortlisted.

Candidates were taken through the recruitment process, including document verification and registration, physical fitness tests, aptitude or written exams, medical examinations, and oral interviews.

Okema warned candidates about fraudulent individuals who may demand bribes and urged them to report such cases to the recruitment committee.
