Dr. John Baptist Odama, the Archbishop Emeritus of Gulu who is now the Apostolic Administrator, Gulu Archdiocese said the installation of the new Archbishop will be animated by the Papal Nuncio, Luigi Bianco.

The new Gulu Archbishop, Most Reverend Raphael P’Mony Wokorach is set to be installed on Friday 12th July, 2024. According to a statement issued on Tuesday 16th April, 2024 by Archbishop Emeritus of Gulu who also doubles as the Apostolic Administrator, Archdiocese Gulu, John Baptist Odama, the event will be held at St Joseph’s Cathedral.
“Following his appointment by the Holy Father a the new Archbishop of Gulu on 22nd March 2024 I have the joy to announce to you that the date for the installation of Most Rev. Raphael P’Mony Wokorach, mccj as the Archbishop of Gulu and the imposition of the pallium on him, is now set for Friday12th July, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Cathedral, Gulu. Both rites will take place in the Eucharistic Celebrations starting at 10:00a.m”, according to a statement.
Dr. John Baptist Odama, the Archbishop Emeritus of Gulu who is now the Apostolic Administrator, Gulu Archdiocese said the installation of the new Archbishop will be animated by the Papal Nuncio, Luigi Bianco.
Dr. Odama urged all the Christians and well-wishers to prepare to welcome the new Archbishop and grant him all the necessary support to ease his work of leading the Christians.
Wokorach who is currently the Bishop of Nebbi diocese, a position he was appointed to in 2021 was born in 196 and ordained a priest in 1993.
He was appointed Archbishop Gulu Archdiocese March 22, 2024.
