Dokolo District Pledges Shs 500,000 Reward to Curb Computer Thefts

Dokolo LCV Chairperson, James Otoo Apili, has pledged Shs 500,000 to anyone with information that could help apprehend suspects behind rampant computer thefts at the district headquarters.
Speaking on Thursday morning, Otoo Apili said the thefts have embarrassed the district and affected service delivery.
"We are waiting for the security investigation report, and we are considering recruiting more private security guards to protect district property," he stated.
Investigations are ongoing after thieves recently broke into the Finance, Audit, Community, and Planning departments.
Resident District Commissioner Babra Akech, who chairs the District Security Taskforce, confirmed that investigations are in progress.
