PPCs Interview Postponed Until Further Notice

LANGO: Following a rescheduled interview for probationer police constables (PPCs) which was to start on April 22nd 2024 has again been postponed until further notice.

The PRO-North Kyoga Region SP Patrick Jimmy Okema confirmed the postponement on April 20th 2024 in a press statement.  

However, this is not the first postponement for the said interview as it was early scheduled for April 8th 2024 before being postponed to April 22nd 2024 due to unforeseen circumstances according to the deputy Police spokesperson SSP Nabakka Claire.

Meanwhile SP Okema said another date will again be communicated.

“We request all successful candidates whose names appeared in the short list to be patient and wait for the next communication which will be circulated to all media houses in North Kyoga Region and online forums” he added.

In February 2024, Uganda Police Force announced recruitment of 2,500 youth aged 18-23 as probationer Police Constables (PPCs).

In Lango, the successful applicants include 16 from Otuke, Lira district 22, Amolatar 33, Kwania 41, Kole 44, Apac 56, Lira City 73, Dokolo 80, Alebtong 80 and 83 from Oyam district.  

A total of 183 female and 352 male youth from Lango are waiting for the interviews which shall be conducted by the Uganda police force.
