RDC Warns Politicians against Division Ahead of 2026 Elections

The Resident District Commissioner of Dokolo, Babra Akech, has issued a strong warning to politicians to avoid divisive politics, segregation, and propaganda as Uganda approaches the 2026 general elections.

She made the remarks during the launch of an 8.6 km road in Ochero Village, Bata Sub-county.

Akech called for peaceful, democratic elections and urged voters not to be swayed by money or material goods, but to elect leaders with solid development agendas and proven capacity.

She assured the public that the upcoming elections will be peaceful, transparent, and accountable.

The RDC also called on NRM leaders, from grassroots to district level, to spread the message of the government’s achievements and development programs to the community.

On a separate note, Akech warned residents against actions that cause insecurity, such as drug abuse, alcohol misuse, and theft.
