Lwala Girls Secondary School Nears Completion of School Fence to Curb Insecurity

Authorities at Lwala Girls Senior Secondary School in Otuboi Sub-county, Kalaki District, have expressed satisfaction over the rapid progress in fencing the school — an initiative aimed at curbing rising insecurity in the area.
The Headteacher, Joseph Eceru, told our reporter that the progress has been promising and that fencing the school premises will help address persistent security concerns threatening the safety of staff and students.
Eceru noted that the remaining work is minimal and credited the supportive and flexible local community for their contributions in terms of resources and cooperation.
However, he also expressed concern over some community members who continue to speak negatively about the school, an attitude he said is undermining ongoing development efforts.
Eceru encouraged the surrounding community in Otuboi Sub-county and Kalaki District to support the school by enrolling their children, emphasizing that the institution has adequate learning materials for both arts and science subjects.
He also appealed to politicians, civil servants, and well-wishers to provide financial and material support to the school.
Recently, the Bishop of Soroti Catholic Diocese, Right Rev. Dr. Joseph Eciru Olyac, donated fencing materials worth UGX 48 million to support the school's efforts to secure its premises.
