Kaberamaido HLC IV to Be Upgraded to District Hospital

Kaberamaido HLC IV in Kaberamaido District to be elevated to District Hospital inorder to boost up health services.

Captain. Dr Mike Mukula the Vice chairperson National Residence Movement Eastern Region made the statement on Saturday 12th, April, 2025 during the burial ceremony of the late Derry Erupu, the Defense Minister of the Kumam Cultural Heritage. This was held at Atapar village, Lwala parish Otuboi Sub county, Kalaki District.

He noted that government of Uganda have plans and budgeted to elevate Kaberamido HLC IV to the district Hospital inorder to boost up Health services in Kaberamaido District, Kalaki and some part of Lango Sub region.

Dr Mukula also promised to follow up the pledge of H.E Yoweri kaguta Museveni to provide new car to Paramount Chief of Kumam cultural Heritage Rapheal Otaya and he assured the people of Kaberamaido District that the road from Atine - Ochero - Kampala will be worked on as soon as possible since government have allocated some funds through the Islamic Development Bank for the construction.

His Highness the Paramount Chief of Kumam cultural Heritage, Papa Raphael Otaya appealed to the government to rapidly and fastening the construction of Atine- Ochero - Kampala which is in bad state noting that this road in particular is greatly affecting business activities and movement among others.

Kenneth Ongalo Obote the member of Parliament of Kalaki county and Minister of state of Teso Affairs applouded and appreciate Dr Mike Mukula for his great support and development to people of Kalaki and Kaberamaido District.
