Dokolo NRM Caucus Backs Anite Among for Second National Vice Chairperson

Dokolo, Uganda – The National Resistance Movement (NRM) caucus in Dokolo District has unanimously endorsed Hon. Anite Annet Among for the position of Second National Vice Chairperson of the NRM party.

The endorsement was made during a district caucus meeting held at Diamond Guest House in Dokolo Town Council.

Tonny Odongo Ocen, Chairperson of the NRM caucus and also LC5 Vice Chairperson of Dokolo District, confirmed the decision. 

He said the caucus recognizes Among's strong leadership record and her commitment to serving the country, adding that she is capable of taking party leadership to greater heights.

Odongo described Among as a leader with tangible achievements who can bring transformation at the national level if entrusted with higher responsibilities.

Daniel Okwir, the Youth Council Chairperson and General Secretary of the NRM caucus in Dokolo, also affirmed the support. 

He said the endorsement comes amid ongoing challenges faced by the youth, including limited communication and neglect from some current leaders after the election period.

Meanwhile, Joyce Tila, the female Councillor representing Kangai Town council and Kangai Sub-county, highlighted the neglect of women in previous leadership circles. She called on Anite Among to champion women’s voices and inclusive development if elected.
