Jane Frances Acilo Launches 12 Community Offices to Boost Service Delivery in Oyam District

Oyam, Uganda — In a bold move to enhance community engagement and service delivery, Jane Frances Acilo, the aspiring Women’s Representative for Oyam District in the 12th Parliament under the NRM party ticket, has officially opened twelve community offices across various sub-counties within Oyam.
The initiative aims to bring government services and communication closer to the people, addressing pressing local issues with efficiency and transparency. These offices will serve as coordination hubs where residents can voice concerns, access support, and stay informed about development projects.
David Olwa, chairman of Acilo’s campaign team, explained to Q FM Newsroom that while twelve offices are currently operational, plans are underway to open additional offices in Kamdini, Minakulu, Loro, and Iceme sub-counties to ensure full district coverage. “Each office will collaborate closely with its respective town council to maximize outreach and effectiveness,” Olwa added.
Importantly, the Acilo campaign emphasizes that the establishment of these offices is a non-political initiative focused solely on community service. “Our goal is to serve the people of Oyam better, responding to their calls for more regular communication with their leader,” the campaign team stated.
This outreach effort comes on the heels of Acilo’s recent collection of nomination forms from the NRM party secretariat in Kampala, marking the official start of her campaign for the upcoming primary elections.
Residents and local leaders have welcomed the move, hopeful that the new offices will foster greater transparency, quicker responses to local needs, and stronger community ties.
