Famous Rn'B singer Munu Bernard Paul also know as BeePee was today Saturday 3 2024 laid to rest in Eleng, Okwalongwen Sub County - Dokolo district.
In a ceremony attended by all kinds of people from all walks of life, BeePee got a perfect send-off that he earned by the way he lived, as echoed by numerous mourners.
In her speech, the chief mourner Hon. Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero who also conveyed President Yoweri Museveni's condolence said "Munu Bernard was like a son to me. He was a humble soul who loved everyone around him". Dr. Jane also handed over shillings 10 million to Irene Ejang (the widow), a condolence from HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. She had earlier contributed one million shillings.
Ejang did not take the cash but requested that the money be deposited in her Bank account.
Celebrated Radio personality Juma Jammy of Radio Mega who led a team of entertainers from Gulu described BeePee as an icon, who lived an exemplary life. The Acholi team came along with UGX 5 million in condolences.
Maros Atine alias Professa Maros who is the chairman of Lango Entertainers was all praise of BeePee, urging upcoming artists to emulate the fallen singer.
Nubian Li who led a team of musicians from Kampala and also represented singer cum politician Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine, said musicians are the voice of the voiceless and they should always convey their messages in their songs without fear or favour. Nubian Li delivered shillings 1 million from Bobi Wine to the widow.
BeePee breathed his last on January 24 at Lira Regional Referral Hospital, succumbing to injuries he sustained from a moto accident, near Front Page Lounge, a local pub in Lira City.
He is survived by one wife and one daughter, 7 months old.
