Strenthen oversight - Speaker AAA tells M7

The speaker of parliament Anita Among has appealed to government to strengthen the over sight role for government projects and programs especially the Parish development model, youth livelihood fund, Emyooga and other project intended to uplift the socioeconomic welfare of the populace

During her communication to the August house sitting at Kololo Independence grounds for budget reading for the next financial year 2025-2026, Speaker Among notes that the broad prospects of socioeconomic programs require enhanced supervision of utilisation of funds for realization of their intended objectives 

Speaker of parliament Anita Among also pledged to the president to strengthen the implementation and oversight of high impact projects under the National development plan 4 as she called for reforms for customs and reddress existing Non Tax Barriers

Speaker Among also asked President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to compel accounting officers to commit actual budgets and work plans and approved by parliament.

These are among other salient issues she put to government for intervention in next Financial year budget.
