Sheik Yusuf Balinda Urges Lango Muslims to Celebrate Eid with Good Deeds

Sheik Yusuf Balinda Muhammad, the Supreme Khadi of the Greater Lango Muslim District, has urged Lango Muslims to avoid harmful practices during their Eid celebrations. In a phone interview on Thursday evening, Balinda cautioned against behaviors that could nullify the benefits of fasting, such as drinking alcohol, dancing, selfishness, and adultery.

He emphasized the importance of embracing love, unity, and sharing, which he believes strengthen community relationships. Balinda also highlighted the role of Muslim men in their families to curb the rising cases of gender-based violence in the community.

He reminded Muslims that Ramadan will end either Sunday or Monday, depending on the Islamic calendar, and encouraged them to contribute to the less fortunate during this sacred month.

In a related statement, Sheik Abuduli Emuro, the District Khadi of Kalaki and Kaberamido, echoed similar sentiments, urging Muslims to foster a culture of giving and support for those in need.
