Local leaders of Amach town council, Erute South in Lira district have decried the poor state of roads
The Local Council 3 chairperson of Amac Town Council Freddy Okwee Abadyang while speaking to Q.fm news desk in an exclusive interview confirmed that they have since written to the office of the district chairperson over the issue but no responses have yet been received.

According to the chairman of the Uganda People Congress in Amac town council Nelson Otiti, the heavy rains have recently destroyed the road, something he says has hindered movement of learners and business.
“For instance, from Amac complex secondary to Amac town council, the road is in a sorry state and this is affecting learners' movement and the neighboring business community”, Otiti added.
It is upon this backdrop that Otiti is now appealing to the top leaders to come to their rescue in order to avoid unforeseen calamities.
The Local Council 3 chairperson of Amac Town Council Freddy Okwee Abadyangwhile speaking to Qfm news desk in an exclusive interview confirmed that they have since written to the office of the district chairperson over the issue but no responses have yet been received.
“Leaders of Amac Town Council are very tired and frustrated over requesting the same issue from government”, Okwee said.
Speaking to the Vice Chairperson of Lira district, Bonny Omara confirmed the several letters at their disposal regarding the sorry state of roads.
According to Omara, they have since received letters from the leaders of the sub counties of ; Aromo, Ogur, Ayami, Baar, Agali, then both Amac Town council and Amac sub county.
“Within lira district as it stands, we have received letters from the leaders representing the people in the sub counties of Aromo, Ogur , Ayami ,Baar ,Agali and both Amac sub county and Amac town council”, said Omara.
According to Omara, they have a projected budget of over one billion to enhance road infrastructure within Lira district in the Financial Year 2024/2025.
