In a thrilling display of resilience and determination, Lango College staged an incredible comeback from three goals down to secure a dramatic 3-3 draw against Tasha SSS in a friendly match held on Tuesday evening, March 11, 2025. This exciting encounter served as a prelude to the upcoming USSSA Post Primary football tournament, set to kick off on Friday, March 14, 2025.

The match began with Tasha SSS making their intentions clear right from the whistle. The visitors quickly put the home team on the defensive, with Ivan Okullu nearly opening the scoring in the 6th minute, only to see his powerful shot crash off the crossbar. It wasn’t long before Tasha SSS found their rhythm, as Michael Gai struck the first blow, netting the opening goal and sending his team into the halftime break with a 1-0 lead.

As the second half commenced, Tasha SSS continued to dominate. Just four minutes in, Tonny Apioth doubled their advantage, leaving Lango College scrambling to regain their footing. The situation worsened for the hosts when Ivan Ogwang extended Tasha SSS's lead to 3-0 in the 57th minute, leaving the crowd in disbelief.

However, Lango College, under the tactical guidance of coach Anthony Odongo, known affectionately as "Giggs," began to turn the tide. A series of strategic substitutions and adjustments sparked a renewed energy in the home side. The momentum shifted dramatically, and Lango College fans found their voices as they rallied behind their team.

The comeback began in earnest when Martin Abongo found the back of the net in the 71st minute, igniting hope among the home supporters. Just two minutes later, Innocent Olet added another goal for Lango College, narrowing the deficit to 3-2 and setting the stage for a thrilling finale.

As the clock ticked down, the atmosphere at the playground reached a fever pitch. In a breathtaking moment of drama, Oscar Okello scored a late equalizer in the added minute (90+4), sending the spectators into a frenzy. The once-dominant Tasha SSS was left stunned, as Lango College celebrated their remarkable turnaround.
