Moto's Tasha H.S. Claims Maiden Victory as Mentor SS Extends Winning Streak

Lira City, Uganda – In a thrilling day of action at the ongoing Lira City USSSA ball game 1, Tasha High School, under the guidance of coach Moto Ronald Tobby, celebrated their first victory by defeating Odokomit Secondary School. Meanwhile, Mentor Secondary School, coached by Ronald Okello, continued their impressive run, narrowly edging out King James Comprehensive School with a score of 1-0.

Tasha High School's victory marks a significant milestone for Coach Moto, who has been eager to secure his first win since taking the helm. The match against Odokomit was a hard-fought battle, but Tasha's resilience and strategic gameplay ultimately led to their triumph. With this win, Tasha now looks to solidify their position in the tournament, needing at least a draw in their final group C game to advance to the round of 16.

"We've worked hard for this moment," said Coach Moto after the match. "The boys showed great determination, and I couldn't be prouder. Now, we need to focus on our next game against Lira City Comprehensive School."

The upcoming match is scheduled for Day Three of the tournament at 10:30 AM at the Erute Primary School Playground. This game will be crucial for Tasha's chances of progressing further in the competition.

On the other side of the field, Mentor SS showcased their championship pedigree as they defeated King James Comprehensive School. The match was tightly contested, but Mentor's experience shone through, allowing them to maintain their winning momentum. With this victory, Mentor SS has already secured a spot in the Lango Zonal level, thanks to their status as defending champions. However, they remain focused on finishing strong at the City level.

Coach Ronald Okello expressed confidence in his team's abilities, stating, "Every game is important, and we aim to keep our winning streak alive. We are looking forward to our next matches against Comboni College and Premier Progressive SS."

Mentor SS will face Comboni College at 9:00 AM on Day Three at Anai Primary School Playground, followed by a crucial match against Premier Progressive SS at noon at Erute Primary School Playground. As the tournament progresses, both teams are eager to cement their legacies and push towards greater achievements.
