Jane Frances Acilo Donates Improved Maize Seeds as She Prepares for NRM Party Flag

Jane Frances Acilo, the aspiring Woman Member of Parliament for Oyam District, has donated improved maize seeds worth millions of shillings to local farmers during a consultative meeting in Adigo, Loro Sub County, on April 1, 2025. This gesture reflects her commitment to agricultural development and community empowerment.

As a successful commercial farmer from Myene Sub County, Acilo is dedicated to enhancing the livelihoods of young people and women through agriculture. Her manifesto focuses on wealth creation and sustainable farming practices, which resonated with the community.

Acilo explained that the improved maize seeds would increase crop yields and provide economic stability for farming families. "Agriculture is not just a means of survival; it's a way to build wealth and empower our communities," she stated.

As she prepares to represent the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Party in the 2026 elections, Acilo has garnered support through her proactive approach to local needs. Farmers expressed gratitude for the improved seeds, which offer hope for better harvests.

The meeting also facilitated open dialogue, allowing Acilo to listen to voter concerns and discuss plans for agricultural training programs and modern farming techniques.

With a focus on grassroots development and empowerment of women and youth, Acilo has inspired optimism among community members. As she aims for the NRM Party flag, she is not only planting seeds in the ground but also sowing the seeds of hope and change in Oyam District.
