Hon Dr. Jane Ruth Acheng gifts constituents of Central Park, a fully revamped access route on valentines day.

The Woman member of Parliament for Lira City, Hon Minister of health Dr Jane Ruth Aceng Ochero gifts Residents of Central Park cell, Ireda Lumumba ward, Lira City East Division on Valentine's Day with a fully revamped half a kilometer road, that had remained nearly impassable for more than three decades.

Speaking to journalists during the road construction, Assistant Resident City Commissioner Lira City, Bonny Ferdinand Okello Alele, stated that the sorry state of this road that runs from Hotel Komar to All Saints Obangapewany church of Uganda, paused a huge security threat to Christians who often used the road during wee early morning hours to acces the church mass, since criminal gangs would take advantage of the struggling road users to launch calculated attacks.

According to Bonny Okello Alele who doubles as the chairman laity at All Saints Obangapewany C.O.U, for a long time residents of Central Park have pleaded with Lira City leaders for the construction of this road which had developed several rampant accident spots due to the narrow, ragged and dilapidated state, orchestrated by years of gully erosion.

"I would like to applaud Hon Dr Jane Acheng, for such a benevolent gesture as a christian, for answering the call-for-help from believers within Central Park. This is a typical indication of a true leader." Emphasized Bonny Okello Alele.

Chairman boda boda Central Park, and a devoted Christian of All Saints Obangapewany, Andrew Ogwal said navigating this particular route had for ages created a rift between them and their clients, due to the inescapable accidents on the road.

"Ever since i was born here in Central Park, the maintenance of this road has been the routine responsibility of the church that could only afford to patch particular spots due to limited finance." Explained Ogwal.

An excited Ogwal could only conclude his remarks by praising God, for gifting the people of Lira City with such a dedicated leader like Hon Jane Ruth Aceng.

Peter Oweta a resident of Central Park cell since 1982, recounted that ever since his settlement in the area, the entire community have solely relied on numerous narrow and ragged community access routes and despite the transformation of Lira into a City in 2020, the situation has remained unmodified, until the latest intervention of Hon Dr Acheng.

Silvia Acio, a female resident of Central Park, challenged with sight impairment on the left eye, acknowledged the value of having a resourceful leader like Acheng, who apart from fixing the long awaited Central Park Cell Road, has fully revamped Lira Regional Referral Hospital, enhancing a consistent provision of advanced health care services to the people of Lango sub region.

Acio however pleaded with Hon Dr. Jane Ruth Acheng, to create a special development forum for people with disabilities who are often challenged financially and to provide an effective platform to access medical services for such people with special needs.
