The incident according to reports occurred in Areco cell, Amuca ward in Lira-City West Division at around 1230 hours. This followed a report made to the police by Denis Okello Ataha, 35 year old boda-bada rider and a resident of the same area.
SP. Jimmy Patrick Okema, North Kyoga Regional Police spokesperson has confirmed that the deceased identified as Evaline Adoch, 39 years old and the suspect Patrick Odongo aged 42yrs old a resident of Adyel-Omwodo village Ot-Kwac parish, Alito Sub-County in Kole District have been staying as wife and husband and blessed with five children.
A case of murder has been registered at Lira-City West Division under CRB:135/2024 while the suspect is still at large.
Okema also appealed to public to aid police with any information regarding the suspect meanwhile advising him to handover himself to the nearest police facility for statement recording to support investigations.
