Dokolo District Launches Shs 800M School Rehabilitation Project

Dokolo district authorities have launched the rehabilitation of eight primary schools worth over Shs 800 million to improve education performance in the district.

David Eryatu, the District Education Officer and project manager, said the project covers classroom renovations and latrine construction across several government-aided schools.

Schools to benefit include Kachung, Amonoloco, Abardyang, Adwoki, Akolodong, Dokolo, Tetugo, and Amuda primary schools.

Senior District Engineer Thomas Kodeos Okello warned contractors against shoddy work, while Resident District Commissioner Babra Akech urged school authorities to closely monitor the projects.

Godfrey Ogwang Okello, the Chief Administrative Officer, encouraged schools to adopt tree planting and talking compounds to enhance learning environments.
