Radio Qfm's Robinah Joyce Ocaya graduates with a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Communication at the 74th graduation at the prestigious Makerere University on Friday 2 2024.

Ms. Joyce Ocaya works with radio Qfm as an announcer, the breakfast show(Yite Twolo) co-host and a news reporter. 

Ocaya says, "the four years have not been easy if you ask me to talk about it, I would say it's God that made it for me". 

She further extends appreciation to the government of Uganda and the people of Alebtong District where she hails from for granting her a government scholarship under the district quota.

"I must say that I spent all my schooling days from the remote schools and every one never imagined that I would one day graduate from the most prestigious University in Africa", says Ms. Ocaya.

"I sat my PLE in 2012 from Olaka Annex primary school in Lira, and attended O' level from Fatima Aloi girls comprehensive school, then I went to Akii Bua Comprehensive SS for my A level in Alebtong district where I emerged as the best in A level and was admitted to Makerere University in 2019 to do Journalism and Communication", she added. 

She encouraged the girl child never to give up in life. 

"I extend my appreciation to radio QFM, management and staff where I did both my internships and acquired practical skills and was later retained as an employee, my parents Frederick Peter Ocaya and Catherine Ocaya, friends and family for their support", add
