The territorial police in Kole District are investigating circumstances under which a single accident involving LCV Chairman Kole District Local Government happened.
It's alleged that Hon. Moses Andrew Awany while driving Motor vehicle Registration number LG0061 058 Toyota Mazda BT-50 4*4 silver in from Lira city heading to Kole district lost control and his vehicle overturned.
North Kyoga police spokesperson, SP. Jimmy Patrick Okema confirmed the nasty incident that happened on the December 23,2023 at around 08:00 hours.
According to Okema, police was informed and the scene visited by traffic officers from Kole Police station. The victim was later rushed to the health facility yet to be identified for first aid while the motor vehicle was towed to Lira-City West Division Police Station pending IOV inspection.
"The victim is out of danger and being attended to by the medics.
More details will be shared later as investigation is going on", Okema noted.
Okema also urged members of the public to be extra careful within these busy period of the festive season as they wait to celebrate Christmas and usher in the New Year, 2024.
