RDC Akech calls for the dismissal of incompetent incharges jeopardizing service delivery

Dokolo District Health Officer Dr Samuel Ojok has revealed different challenges affecting health services in different health facilities across the district.
Dr Ojok made the revelation during an engagement meeting on immunization organized by Family Strength for a Based Child (FASBEC) held in Dokolo district council hall.
He highlighted the poor management system by incharges of the health facilities, late coming at health facilities and absenteeism, delayed payment on immunization to immunization facilitators, poor mobilization by health workers toward immunization and poor records keeping management by health workers at the facilities for proper accountabilities.
Dr Ojok appealed to all the in-charges from various health facilities in Dokolo district to design appropriate methods of collecting data for good accountability.
Santos Okuja the secretary Health and Education, Dokolo district called on FASBEC to improve the health facilities by providing all necessary support and involving the district Health department in all activities for proper guidance and implementation.
Samson Omara, an official from FASBEC, an umbrella under the Ministry Health said they have come to purposely to provide lasting support to young people including orphans and other vulnerable children, Youth, women and the entire community in rural areas in Uganda through access to health care, quality Education, economic and livelihood support to fulfil their potential.
Omara also highlighted focusing on child health immunization and maternal Health, provision of malaria prevention measures and prevention among others.
Barbara Akech, RDC Dokolo district has now tasked DHO to withdraw and demote incompetent incharges which is lowering the development of facilities and service delivery to the locality.
She however cautioned health workers to desist from extorting money from beneficiaries at health facilities.
Akech also urged health officers to embrace record keeping to ensure transparency.
