Deadly Attack at Lira’s Container Pork Joint: Owner Killed, Two Injured in Shooting

Lira, Uganda – A tragic shooting incident at the popular Container Pork Joint in Corner Boroboro in Lira city East division has left one dead and two others injured. The attack, which took place last night, has sent shockwaves through the usually peaceful neighborhood in Lira city. 

According to eyewitnesses, unidentified assailants stormed the pork joint and opened fire on the owner, identified as Hellen. Two other patrons were also caught in the gunfire and sustained injuries. Despite swift efforts to rush Hellen to the hospital, she succumbed to her injuries before receiving medical attention.

The attackers reportedly fled the scene on a motorcycle, heading towards Lira City. Authorities including police have since launched an investigation into the incident, urging the public to come forward with any information that could lead to the identification and arrest of the perpetrators.

The Container Pork Joint is a popular gathering spot, known for its roasted pork delicacies and relaxed atmosphere. Residents have expressed shock and concern over the attack, calling for improved security measures in the area.
