Airtel Uganda launch "A Network for Digital Acceleration" Campaign in Lira

Airtel Uganda is set to launch its new campaign, “A Network for Digital Acceleration,” aimed at boosting digital connectivity and economic growth through technology.
The campaign launch is happening in Lira City at the Lango College Playground in Akwoyo.
The initiative follows Airtel Uganda’s continued commitment to expanding digital infrastructure across the country. In 2019, Airtel became Uganda’s only 100% 4G network, and by 2023, it achieved another milestone by becoming Uganda’s first 5G network.
The company has since been investing in various sectors such as business, education, agriculture, health, and entertainment to enhance digital transformation.
According to a statement from Airtel Uganda, the campaign will focus on community engagement, educating citizens on the benefits of 5G technology, and exploring opportunities in digital finance.
Airtel Uganda’s Managing Director, Soumendra Sahu, emphasized the company’s mission in his invitation to stakeholders:
According to Sahu, the campaign is about empowering communities by creating awareness on digital and financial inclusion.
He further confirmed that Airtel is dedicated to ensuring that every Ugandan has access to fast, reliable internet that can transform their lives and businesses.”
The telecom giant continues to play a significant role in Uganda’s digital revolution, with its focus on providing reliable internet and mobile financial services.
The launch in Lira is expected to set the stage for further expansion of its network and digital services.
