According to Dr. Enyang, the micro-scale irrigation project initially registered 22 farmers, but only 12 demonstrated full commitment by completing their first and second co-funding payments.

He revealed that contracts for the installation were awarded to three companies, including Satesco Company and Brulex Company Limited, which have successfully completed the work.

The completed sites include three demonstration sites in Dokolo Town Council, Agwata Town Council, and additional locations in Adeknino Sub-county, Kangai Sub-county, Kwera Sub-county, Bata Town Council, Okwalongen, and Agwata Town Council.

Dr. Enyang urged the public to embrace micro-scale irrigation as a crucial tool for poverty eradication and agricultural transformation. He further disclosed that 15 more farmers have expressed interest in the project and have completed their first co-funding payments. Their files have been forwarded for procurement consideration.

He assured that all irrigation sites have been monitored and are fully operational. Many farmers have already started planting crops such as tomatoes and onions, signaling the project’s success in promoting modern farming practices in the district.
