NUP Endorses Ageno as Flagbearer for Dokolo WMP By-Elections

Opposition party, National Unity Platform (NUP) has on Wednesday 28 endorsed it's flagbearer, Harriet Ageno "Nenidiro" ahead of the Dokolo Woman MP by elections.

According to the roadmap, the Electoral Commission set 21st March as polling date for the by elections.

Party Principal Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, the party fully endorsed flagbearer Ageno in an event witnessed by NUP party secretary, David Lewis Rubongoya, NUP's deputy secretary mobilisation in charge of Northern Uganda, Asega Habib Jogo among others.

Speaking to Qfm news desk, Moses Mawa the NUP coordinator Lango sub region confirmed the endorsement of the party flagbearer, Harriet Ageno.

According to Mawa, exercise was hosted at the party headquarters in Makerere Kivule, Kampala.

He said the party endorsed Ageno due to the leadership qualities she possesses.

"Ageno is a candidate who is transparent, has good quality leadership skills and above all, she fights for the ordinary Udandans", he added.

Among the rallying aspirants are Dr. Lalam Annah Grace Atine (Independent), UPC’s Aguti Sarah Nyankori, Dr. Rosemary Alwoch Ogwal (FDC)and Adongo Janet Elau (NRM).

Others are Irene Amongi Ajwika (Independent), Rabecca Arau (Independent), Molly Abang Kia (Independent), and Harriet Ageno (NUP).
