Dokolo District Gets Police Boost: 12 Officers Per Station, Motorcycles for Every Sub-County

Dokolo District is set to receive additional security reinforcements, with each police station in the sub-counties and town councils getting 12 officers and three motorcycles to enhance operations.
The District Police Commander, SP Patience Bangazi, confirmed the development on Thursday 6, 2025 in an interview with journalists.
She stated that the initiative is in line with President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s pledge to curb criminal activities in the area.
According to SP Bangazi, each sub-county police model station will be equipped with 12 officers, including Family Protection Unit officers, an Officer-in-Charge of Criminal Investigations (OC CID), a Community Liaison Officer (CLO), and station counter phones to improve communication.
She emphasized that the deployment will help tackle rising insecurity, enhance the implementation of government programs, and also strengthen the relationship between the police and civilians.
“I urge the people of Dokolo District to welcome and support this initiative wholeheartedly and foster good relations with police officers to promote peace and security in the area,” Bangazi said.
She also called on LCIII chairpersons to hold regular sub-county security meetings to address security concerns and encouraged the community to support the officers as they carry out their duties.
Dick Obura, the CLO of Dokolo District, urged residents to remain security-conscious, safeguard their properties and livestock, and promptly report any suspicious activities to the authorities for immediate action.
